Phil: I enrolled in CrossFit after my son encouraged my wife and I to begin resistance training. After doing some research (a book called “the barbell prescription”), I realized the best way to preserve our quality of life and prevent the slow deterioration from aging and a sedentary lifestyle is to exercise. While many places offer lots of equipment, I felt at the age of 70, I needed direction and coaching. CrossFit LifeSport is conveniently located and has a team of athletes who enjoy what they are doing. Our coaches are a great combination of encouragement and sensitivity to our needs and abilities. I have gained better balance and posture in my 4 months of training.
Marcia: After having a serious ankle injury in 2010, and developing arthritis in my hips and knees, I found myself being less active at too early of an age. In the 4 months I have been doing CrossFit I have noticed increased upper body and core strength. I appreciate the patient instruction and encouragement from the coaches. I am also thankful for the camaraderie and encouragement from our fellow CrossFitters!
