CrossFit LifeSport May 2017 Athlete of the Month

“I joined Crossfit Lifesport because I needed a change physically and mentally. I gained a lot of weight through pregnancy and even though I attempted to regularly workout, I wasn’t pushing myself and I had hit a plateau for several months. After just 3 weeks in crossfit I had already noticed a huge difference. It’s now been 9 weeks since I joined and I have had to replace my entire wardrobe and I’m nearly back into my pre-baby clothing. I have also continued running outside of crossfit and have seen a dramatic decrease in both my half marathon run time and recovery time. I’ve been able to achieve these physical goals in a fraction of the time I was spending working out alone.
Mentally, I needed a community. I’m not the type of person that is able to push myself when I’m running alone or doing an at-home workout video. Everyday that I show up to the box, I know a coach and my fellow athletes, who have become my friends, will be there to both challenge me to reach my potential and cheer me on. The people at Lifesport really are what makes it great. The hour that I spend at Crossfit Lifesport is the best hour of my day”.
